Chapter 3: The Old Style

Previously: The morse code contained another warning. Is there any impending danger that lies ahead? It certainly looks serious now.

You are puzzled at such wild warnings, but also highly fascinated.

Assignment #3

OBJECTIVE: Decrypt the message.

DESCRIPTION: As soon as you submitted the threatening message that was decoded in the previous evidence, we sent one of our investigator to Mr. Wright's home immediately. There he found Mrs. Wright baffled as she was trying to make sense out of a paper strip with gibberish text on it. According to her, she found it on her doorstep when she returned home.
In a further survey of Mr. Wright's minimalist house and interview of his wife, our investigator found out another piece-of-puzzle in his basement. Among various unuseful things, a shabby piece of paper attracted his attention. It was another torn paper strip with random looking letters on it. Mrs. Wright refused any knowledge of its nature. Interestingly, the texts on both papers have equal number of letters.
After both the evidences (paper strip that Mrs. Wright found, and another one which our investigator found in the basement) were brought to our lab, we found that these are the Key and the Ciphertext, prepared using the technique: One Time Pad. But, we still don't know which is which.
Submit whatever plaintext you can derive out of them.

CIPHER INFO: One Time Pad.

What is it now?

Is this another warning? Who is behind all this? Hopefully, this time it would be a more useful clue.

Let's try it.
